For Friends up North

Our Winter Has Arrived!
This morning, we awakened to temperatures hovering just above freezing.  By the time i thought of my camera, it had warmed up a little:
It felt a little cool in the house
Hey... we are used to 79*
I turned the stove on to take the chill out of the air. I don't think we have ever used the electric heat, though it is available.  When it is cooler, we turn on the fireplace in the living room.   The oven was on and I was using the stove, so it warmed the house a few degrees to a 'tolerant' level. Once the sun came up, the fire was no longer necessary.

Brrrr! The cold has made it's way to Tennessee, and we are running the wood stove. Will probably sleep out by the fire tonight. We "can" and do run the furnace, but like to save on the electric bill by using the wood stove as much as we can. Plus, it's cozy! :)

You're a little funny. ;-) The high today at our house is supposed to be 44F. And we live on the warm side of the state.

LOL! We have a steady fire in the wood stove... it would be nice to warm it with just a little bit of stove heat...
