We have picked the first grapefruits and oranges of the season....before the birds and butterflies get them all! It seems that they are ready too early this year... usually we have at least one light frost before they are ready to pick.
You have citrus trees? Oh, that would be lovely! My husband would just stand at the tree and eat, like he did with our peach tree this summer. I thought he was picking peaches for me!

Yes, and we too will stand at the tree and peal the fruit, and eat on the spot. We make juice too. The grapefruits are sweet!
