These were the Black Seeded Simpson Lettuce, and we put compost in the garden, and till the area between plantings. Nothing extra. We have too much. Wish we could share with you. Really like the flavor. It likes cooler weather. Survived the freeze we had.

Lettuce growing tips please! I've never been successful and growing my own salad greens. Collards, cabbage and broccoli yes, but not the salad greens.
