Valentines Day Escapades...a day to remember...

My sister in law and I decided to go check out some country land that is for sale.  She had seen it and wanted to show it to me.  So since our sweethearts were off at work, we decided to do some gallivanting.
When we approached the area, there were some pretty muddy spots...that we dutifully avoided. However, there were  some lessons for the day...

Stay on the beaten path... silly me thinking that the grassy spot would be firmer!

But God is gracious to such foolish actions.  He provided angels of mercy who just happened to be on this un-named road in the middle of nowhere working on the property they own.
They tried to push me out...but it didn't work.  They had to call in extra reserves...

one of his relatives brought us a chain and pully rope

And that got us back onto the "straight and narrow". With a little extra mud as proof.

But it had left this willing, and very helpful family  with very muddy exteriors... with no water to clean up.
I have yet to really thank them for their deed. Profuse verbal thanksgiving just isn't enough. Fortunately I have contact information.
God is good. I hope I remember what I learned this day.
1.Stay on track.  Read the Word, and pray!
2.Consequences and residue linger from our actions.
3.When we trust Him, He provides a way.
4.He will not bring greater tests or trials than we can handle.
The thoughts of what could have happened to us silly girls...if they had not just 'happened' to be within 1/4 a mile with their 4x4...

By the way, thank you for the boy birthday ideas. I just might go with one of them. Great ideas.

What an adventure! Did you ever get to the land you were going to look at?

Yes we did! It is just to the left of the "road" we got stuck in!

The Lord did take care of you! They were certainly good "neighbors"!
